DARRIN STERLING

Darrin Sterling is one of the most prolific Dj’s in the dance music culture today, being ahead of his game and grooving all dance floors that are placed before him, who speaks through the music with insight and creativity. He is well known for his deep, diversity of progressive/ tech-house, consistently taking party people on that sonic journey when he mans the decks. His dynamics, track selection and concise mixing skills are what you can expect to get every set from this one! Feel it!

In the middle of the 80’s while dance music was still in a development stage, and as the 90’s came in to focus, Darrin did a tour in the Marine Corps, came back to his roots in Chicago to start his career on a higher level of DJing to send him on the journey. He started spinning raves, after hour events, and getting mix tapes out in the right hands. Darrin had had the privilege of rocking dance floors in: (MIAMI, SAN DIEGO, LOS ANGELES, SAN FRANCISCO, D.C, HOUSTON, PHOENIX, and CHICAGO.) Recently he is booking airtime doing monthly mix shows on internet radio stations here in the U.S. and in Europe. During his career, he has had the honor  to open for world re known DJ’s such as Roy Davis Jr. , Danny Tenaglia, Oscar G, Bob Sinclar, Gareth Emery to name a few. Other accomplishments include electronic music festivals in and around the U.S. Including: Splash in San Diego,  Praia Urbana 16 in Houston, TX, and Summer Sessions also in Houston. His monthly residency called ‘Transitions’ is keeping him busy every 2nd Thursday of the month at Club Forward and traveling to various guest spots around the Houston-metro area.

Currently, Darrin is hard at work with his monthly mix sessions for airplay and promos and getting more involved with production side of tracks to gain notoriety and spins from dj’s around the globe. “I’m pretty excited about the production side of the tracks, and how the music is evolving for the better, to try the tracks out on the floor and see what direction it is going, checking out the crowd’s reactions and feelings.” Darrin has built a solid foundation with his musical style, passion and creativity, to establish being a great figure in the global dance music culture.
