Satisfying every aspect of your house palette in Houston, these shindigs can be anything from glitchy chunky soundscapes with banging bass hits to dark tribal breaks with vocals. JC Vanegas, the newest addition to Low Life and to the Houston house scene, does it all.
His influence goes beyond music. With a Brother who was a DJ, JC was introduced to the electronic scene at a young age. Falling in love with the sound, energy and the feel of vinyl, JC is just doing what comes naturally since the age of 16. Mastering his skill behind closed doors, hes finally made his day view at the age of 20 at several local spots, such as, Davenport, Crome, Etro lounge, Next, Cotton Exchange, Cafe Europa, Deans lounge, and has participated at several private event.
“I remember the first tracks I played were by Antoine Clamaran and Angel Alanis. Man talk about a while back,” said JC.
A night with JC Vanegas is like a night of intoxication. He starts you off slow, allowing you time to shake off the day’s frustrations. The music get stronger, the vibe gets tighter and before you know it, you’ve had one track too many and you’re all over the dance floor. His gratitude is toward the crowd providing the feedback energy that fuels his music ambition.
JC has opened up for super start DJs such as Benny Benassi and Armind Van Buuren and has also shared the decks with many Houston based DJ groups such as; the Rat Pack and the East End Boys. With future gigs lined up, JC hopes to tour to Miami, Ibiza, or Latin America. “Be sure to keep up with this cat, it’s just the beginning…”
